  Notes:

  - Roger Hunt missed a penalty on 90'

  - Jim Furnell, former LFC keeper saved the penalty from Hunt. Hunt never took another penalty for Liverpool.

  - Joe Baker was late with a challenge on Ron Yeats and both players got sent off. Yeats finished on the turf with a cut above his eye. Yeats wasn't too pleased about his only sending-off in his Liverpool career after the game: "I have never struck a player in eight years and I never will. If I hit anyone I would expect to be sent off. But I swear I never hit him. I asked the referee if I had had hit myself to get my cut and bleeding eye, but he would not listen."
