PROFILE
Powerfully built 17 year old from Ghana, who arrived at Liverpool last summer via
Real Sociedad. A regular in the reserves this season, he began the season up front due to
an injury crisis, but in recent weeks he has found a home in his preferred berth of centre
back, where he has been absolutely outstanding.
Liverpool signed Ghanian centre half Godwin Antwi from Real Zaragoza in August
2005, and he will be in the reserve team squad for the 2005/06 season.
Antwi becomes the first player from Ghana to represent Liverpool. One of his heroes
is the former Liverpool fans favourite Titi Camara who hailed from Guinea.
Due to a striker shortage he made his Liverpool reserves debut playing up front in
a 3-2 defeat by Everton in August 2005, but his best position is at centre half.
Godwin Antwi was spotted by Liverpool's Director of scouting Paco Herrera and is
highly rated.
