PROFILE
Liverpool-born Joe signed for Liverpool in June 1952 when he was 18 years old but
had to wait for his first-team opportunity until nearly the end of the 1955-56 season.
When he was finally give his chance, he took it well. Dickson made his debut on the right
wing, but played as inside right and left as well, scoring 4 goals in 6 games for LFC in
the 1955-56 season.
