  PROFILE

Gordon was a winger who played for Liverpool during the early part of the 1930's. He made his debut at Bolton on 15th March 1930 and that started a run of 10 consecutive appearances until the end of the season. However, he wasn't in the starting line-up for the following season, 1930-31, and only figured 9 times in that year. But in 1931-32 he was one of only two ever-presents in the league, the other was Tom Bradshaw, and he scored 17 times in those 42 games.

His run of successive league appearances increased to 57 by early-November 1932 but he then lost his place briefly to Harold Taylor before reclaiming it back for another shorter run. Gordon's final selection for Liverpool came on 25th March 1933, the occasion being a home First Division fixture with Blackburn Rovers which was drawn 2-2.
