PROFILE
Striker Besian Idrizaj joined Liverpool from Linzer ASK in the summer of 2005.
The former Austrian young player of the year is a regular for the reserves but has
yet to make his senior competitive debut.
Idrizaj, who spent two months on loan at Luton during 2006-07, did feature in a
pre-season friendly against Wrexham in July 2007, netting an impressive 26-minute
hat-trick. All three goals were set up by Jermaine Pennant.
On signing for the Reds, he said: "If you get a chance to go to Liverpool, you
have to take it. You cannot ignore a trial with the reigning Champions League winners. I
would even have swam across the channel just to take part."
