PROFILE
Jimmy was a forward who played for Liverpool for a couple of years just before the
First World War. He first appeared in the side in the second-half of the 1913-14 season
and played in 14 of the last 15 games that season, scoring three times. He was the club's
only 'ever-present' the next year and added a further 9 goals to his Liverpool total,
bringing it up to 12 goals from 42 league matches. He also scored both goals in the club's
FA cup semi-final with Aston Villa at White Hart Lane at the end of March 1928 and was a
member of the team which lost the final to Burnley at Crystal Palace four weeks later. |
