STAFF PROFILE
Rob Price left his position as physiotherapist with the Football Association to
take up the post of managing the physio team at Anfield in September 2005 and travels with
the first team to all games.
After gaining his degree in physiotherapy and an Msc in sports rehabilitation he
worked in private practice before taking up a position with the FA which he held for five
years.
The chance to move to Liverpool was too good to turn down and Rob is delighted with
the decision he made.
"We have a fantastic team on the field here but also a fantastic team off the
field," he says. "We're a very hands-on treatment department and we spend a lot
of time working with the players on a daily basis.
"Every day is planned very carefully. We do a lot of preventative work with
the players to try and avoid injuries, we play a role in the rehab of the injured players
and of course there's regular meetings with the manager and medical staff.
"After training we'll carry out assessments or react accordingly to any
incidents which have taken place during the session." |
