PROFILE
Right winger Ben Parsonage sprung to prominence and the attention of the
Liverpool supporters during the FA Youth Cup success in 2006. A regular in Dave Shannon's
Under-16 team in 2005/2006 Parsonage was given an unexpected chance by Steve Heighway. He
made his debut for the youth team in the 6-0 FA Youth Cup quarter-final win over Carlisle
and Heighway exclaimed: "Ben Parsonage was wonderful and I think I even surprised my
own staff for picking him in the team, but I knew what he could do and I trust him. Ben is
Liverpool through and through and he would run through a brick wall for this club. He did
tremendously well."
