  PROFILE

Robert made exactly one hundred Football League appearances for Liverpool in the 1930’s. Although primarily a wing-half, he made his debut in the forward line when Liverpool faced Grimsby Town at Anfield on the 26th of September 1931 and scored twice in a 4-0 victory. But he would never find the net for the club again after that scoring debut. The only seasons when Robert could be considered a first-team regular were 1934-35 & 1935-36. He played in 27 of the 42 league fixtures those seasons but apart from that was only occasionally selected. His final appearance for the club came in an away game at Wolverhampton on the 16th of October 1937.
