PROFILE
Right-back Bill made his debut for Liverpool at full-back on the opening day of the
1948-49 League season and only missed 1 of the 42 league matches played that year. But
although he played in the first 4 games of the following season, his place was quickly
taken by Eddie Spicer and he only added another 2 games to his total by the end of
1949-50. Just seven more appearances followed over the next two seasons. Bill's final
match for Liverpool came at home to Blackpool on Christmas Day, 1951. Total LFC club games/goals
