PROFILE
Full-back Bobby Thomson was signed by Liverpool from Partick Thistle in December
1962 and made 4 league appearances for the club towards the end of the 1962-63 season. But
he was competing for a full-back spot with the more experienced and established trio of
Ronnie Moran, Gerry Byrne and Phil Ferns and eventually left Anfield for Luton in August
1965 after making only an additional two League appearances during the 1963-64 season. He
made 74 league appearances for Luton from 1965-1966 before moving to Australia. |
