PROFILE
George signed for Liverpool in February 1950 but didn't make his debut until the
1st of March 1952, away to Fulham. There were 11 matches remaining of the season when he
made his first appearance for the first-team and he played in 9 of them but he had already
left Anfield by the time the following season started. All his games were played in Phil
Taylor's absence at centre-half.
