  PROFILE

Merseyside-born wing-half Bryan who was as well an excellent swimmer and sprinter, arrived at Anfield from South Liverpool but struggled to make an impact. He moved to Crewe Alexandra in May 1954 and was a regular in their side for a number of seasons, playing nearly 5 times as many League matches for the Cheshire club as he did for Liverpool.
