  STAFF PROFILE

Season 2002-03  John is the club's reserve team kit man and is responsible for the preparation of all kit for training and matchdays.

  John Wright is Liverpool's masseur which is a vital role working with the players.

  John also combines his duties as massuer with helping out Graham Carter prepare the matchday kit and boots.

  He started life at Liverpool working at the Academy as assistant masseur to Simon Farnworth, a role John did for three years.

  Gerard Houllier then appointed John as assistant masseur to Gary Amer in the summer of 2000, which is a role he has been doing since.

  John says: "It is fantastic to work here and a dream job for me. Everyone gets on great. I have a combined job. Basically if a player needs a massage then I will do that, and if not I will help Graham out with the kit and boots."

  John is also the father of former Liverpool defender Stephen John Wright, who is now at Sunderland.
