  PROFILE

Jesus Fernandez Saez, aka Suso, is an attacking midfielder who officially arrived from Cadiz CF in the summer of 2010.

A talented Spaniard full of flair and invention, he has made great strides in our U21 and U18 teams.

At the age of 16 he appeared as a late substitute in a first-team friendly at Borussia Moenchengladbach as Roy Hodgson prepared his team for 2010-11.

He was also involved in Jamie Carragher's testimonial against Everton and featured in numerous friendly matches for the first-team.

On November 19, 2010 Suso marked his 17th birthday by signing his first professional contract with the Reds.

In the summer of 2012, Suso travelled to America as part of Brendan Rodgers' squad for the Reds' pre-season tour.

The Spaniard made his first official appearance for the club against Young Boys in September 2012 and was used as a substitute three days later during a match with Manchester United.

He represents Spain at U19 level and helped them win the European Championships in 2012.
